Testing

I offer very comprehensive testing to determine if your child’s difficulty with reading and spelling is due to dyslexia.

Testing includes:

• a developmental history
• school history
• social history
• tests for memory
• tests for auditory processing
• tests for phonics
• tests for reading individual words
• tests for reading fluency
• tests for dysgraphia
• use of writing samples and homework samples

Following testing, a report will be written which includes a thorough explanation of areas of deficit, any pertinent accommodations for school, and recommendations on how to assist your child to reach their highest potential in the areas of reading and spelling.

A follow up consultation to review results and recommendations is also included.
